Connor will wait to sort Future

Terry Connor insists he will only discuss his future at Wolves at the end of the season despite the Midlanders' relegation from the Premier League with three games still to go.

Sunday's 2-0 defeat at home to title-chasing Manchester City means Connor's men are the first club to be dumped down to the Championship and they must now begin planning for life in the second tier again.

However, Connor, who was placed in charge until the end of the season when Mick McCarthy was sacked in February, says he does not know what the future holds for him at Molineux and will only discuss his situation with club officials in the summer.

"I'm in charge for three more games and will take care of those before sitting down with the club," he said.

"The club will then take the appropriate steps and decide whether it's myself, or someone with Championship experience, Premier League experience, or experience from abroad to take charge.

"That will be the club's decision. I will stand by that decision."

Punters
gambling online had backed Steve Bruce to take the top job when McCarthy was let go after a 5-2 home defeat to West Brom.

However, despite being interviewed for the post it was Connor who was given the role.

He has been at Wolves for 13 years as a coach but was a surprise interim appointment by the board to take over from McCarthy at the time as he had no previous top-flight managerial experience.

The
betting line suggests owner Steve Morgan will look for a new boss over the close-season while several of the club's more experienced players are also likely to move on following their relegation.
